New Machine!

I got a BERNINA!  A cool sewing machine that is.  Not only does it sew but it embroiders!!  Know what that means?  It means that after a few classes I'll be able to do names AND also stop working with felt and do everything with thread!  I'm very excited to do tutus paired with special embroidered shirts!

The Case of the Battling Fruit Snacks

I don't know if girls are different (I'm guessing they are) with fruit snacks but my boys don't just EAT the Fruit Snacks.  No no they BATTLE!  "Oh no don't eat off my head (chomp, chomp) Sorry I had to ha ha ha!" or "Ouch don't hit me" , "why we must battle", "okay", (fight fight fight).  Seriously they can't even eat fruit snacks without making them fight!

Boys will be Boys

If boys will be boys, does that mean that Bloody Noses and Bite Marks come with the territory?  I mean should I NOT be surprised when they can't keep their hands off of each other? 

I think the testosterone must soar from the age of 1 because there is never a dull moment.  I have also come to believe that being the mom of more then one boy is truly a different kind of mom that is in a special kind of club.  It's a club full of being patient and having understanding as they scale your walls and put their brother in a head lock. 

So it's about time that I make something for boys.  How about a cape to contribute to their super hero adventure?  I'm really praying about taking this next step.  But until then I'll focus on Frilly little girls in Cute Birthday Ladybug Tutu Outfits!

Sak Saum

We support a ministry called Sak Saum www.saksaum.org.  Sak Saum is a ministry that offers rescue, rehabilitation and restoration to vulnerable and exploited women who have experienced firsthand the devastation of trafficking. 

20% of all our proceeds goes to this ministry of women who have been taught to sew and make a living for themselves.  They have amazing talent and their designs are wonderful!  I personally own two bags, a headband, and a pair of baby shoes.  They now have a website where you can shop from. 

You can give directly to them, buy a handbag, or buy a tutu from us!

Update on Sweet Lily

I went to a Specialist today to check on Baby Lily's heart.  It registered high for a moment during my ultrasound last week.  Basically her heart was formed with these weird patterns of 240 high to 150 low.  It stays high until it needs a break and then goes down to 150.  If her heart rate was to stay at 240 she would have heart failure but because it goes down that allows for a break for the heart.

I now have to be seen every week by the Specialist, plus see my OB, and meet with a Choc Pediatric Cardiologist so the team of 3 can decide what's best.  Right now her heart looks okay but if her heart looks stretched out or has any fluid I will be put on heart medicine which will effect my heart and her heart.  If that does not help her they will take her early.  She will be put on medicine as soon as she's born.

I believe that a complete healing of the heart would just save us a lot of time and be easier.  So I'm going to a prayer night tonight to get prayed for and I'm going to pray for healing relentlessly because I know God can.  Either way Lily is in God's hands and so I'm resting in that.  I've been through too much these last 3 years and I just don't have the strength to worry, just pray.

Monkey Onesie

I have a new product that I just listed today!  I'm really excited about it and it's super cute! 

 

I think we can all agree that boys don't get many cute shirts or accessories!  Who doesn't like Monkeys??  Well I'm sure someone doesn't but not me, I love them!  I think this also makes a great baby shower gift too!

A job!

My husband found a job and starts on Monday!  It's a 1 year temp job which isn't ideal but it's something. The God story behind this, because there always is one, is that the first year we were back he didn't get 1 interview the whole year!  He applied for many jobs. 

He's been out of a job for 4 weeks and has had 5 interviews with different companies.  Two other ones this week we believe we going to offer him the job.  We have been blown away by God's faithfulness. 

I still don't have my house, we are cramped, and we still haven't taken a vacation since our honeymoon 6 1/2 years ago but I do believe that my plans aren't God's plans and He is redirecting my desires.  We have a lot more then many others in the world even if it looks like we have less because of the area we live in. 

In other news our baby girl may have a heart rate problem so we see a specialist next week.  But I serve a God that  heals so I'm not worried at all!

Recapping 2010

I wouldn't say 2010 was a bad year all together but not a year of settlement either.  It was more like a year of new beginnings.

-Sweet Lily Tutus was started
-Devin got a job after 1 year of unemployment
-We are now expecting our third (surprise) child and couldn't be happier and more nervous!
-Devin lost his job 12/31

2011 I am praying will bring a blessing of stability in a job sense, home sense, and family sense. God is certainly good and worthy of all our praise even when I have no idea what He is up to!
