A tribute to my Huzzy

Devin's birthday is on Wednesday and I don't often enough brag about him. So.....here is my tribute to huzzy (my nickname for him).

5 reasons why he's the best dad:

1. Always up for a good wrestling match
2. Helps with the poopy diapers (can I get an Amen?)
3. Very patient when teaching them how to swim
4. Gets around on the floor and acts like an animal just for a good laugh
5. Let's Kai watch his "show" on the big tv

5 reasons why he's the best husband:

1. Supports me in all my decisions
2. Eats my food
3. Will have 3 kids even though he only wants 2
4. Would only move to Illinois if I agreed
5. Prays with me on demand! :)

Here are some good memories of Devin with the boys:

Beaded Socks

I've started beading socks. I'm a bit obsessed with it now. I have a friend who is going to take them with her to a craft fair to sell for me while I'm in California. I'm not going to do a website until I start selling some and see what people think. If you are interested in a pair just leave me a comment! Here are the sizes and prices:

0-6 months $4 (one row of beads)
6-18 months $4 (one row of beads)
18-36 months $7 (two rows of beads)
3-5 years $7 (two rows of beads)

Back on the saddle again....

Photobucket
I haven't worked at a Salon since 2001. I use to do hair and I enjoyed it about 50% of the time. It was the other 50% that made me quit. I've never looked back since but today a gal from church asked me to help her with a wedding party at her salon. I worked with her from 9am-2pm. It was weird being back in the salon but I kind of miss it. I don't feel like I'm suppose to go back and I know my ministry is to be with my kids right now but I really did miss being in that environment. I felt insecure, anxious, and yet hopeful. There are some decisions that need to be made regarding this experience and my cleaning homes. I would appreciate your prayers to help me distinguish what God wants and what is best for my family.

A tribute to Rockharbor

One year ago in October I left Rockharbor for good. It was very bitter sweet. I worked there almost 2 years as an Administrative Assistant. I LOVED what I did but I wanted to be at home to raise my boys. I had a hard time working while Kai was so young and I don't understand why it had to happen but I'll never take that time back. Here are some of my favorite memories:

1. Walking into work while admins were gathered around someone praying over them
2. Donna comforting me while I cried because it was so hard to let my 6 week old son go with Grandma
3. Hiding Nick's Gi Joe and sending threats to him with pictures
4. Watching funny web videos
5. Dancing to "My hump"
6. Doing a cart wheel 9 months pregnant
7. Disneyland!! Twice!
8. Being a listening ear to people who have no one to turn to
9. Helping in the process of someone who can't pay their bills
10. Testing out the bounce house at Hulabaloo
11. Human shuffleboard! (We won)
12. Staff meeting-they were always fun
13. That ugly dolphin award that got passed around
14. Putting together x-mas in a box
15. Rock time
16. The pictures below
17. Serve Day
18. Church at home

Funny Nash

Nash has a favorite toy. It's a Veggie Tales character that we got at a garage sale. It was for Kai but he didn't care for it. Nash uses it as some sort of pacifier. He pops it in and then crawls around the house and plays with toys etc while it's still in his mouth. It's hilarious! Here's a picture of him in action.

Nash has decided that he doesn't want to be buckled in ever! He arches his back and screams when placed in the car seat, he cries and tries to wiggle his way out of his high chair, and does the same thing if placed in the baby part of a cart. The only solution was to put Kai in the baby part and Nash in the cart and then he's as happy as a clam.

3 1/2 lbs!

I've lost 3 1/2 lbs in 2 days! I don't know how that is healthy but I'll take it! Weight Watchers lets you eat quite a bit, it's pretty easy, and I highly recommend it! Anyways, I don't have too much weight to lose but I've just been stuck not losing any on my own. Maybe when I come home to visit I'll be less of a woman, in a good way that is.
