Embarrassing moment

Another tribute to being a mom: being humiliated!

About a month ago I ran into a lady from church at the grocery store. As we were talking Kai held out his finger to show her a fresh booger from his nose. I was very embarrassed and quickly looked for a tissue which I didn't have. The lady dug in her purse and pulled out a pack of kleenex and told me to just keep it :)

Then today while in the shoe aisle, you know how cramped it can get in size 8, Kai looks down at his chest and says nipple. Yes he does have a shirt on but he was using x-ray vision. Then he looks up at me and says Mommy do you have a nipple? rather loudly! I immediately try to hide my smirk and he sees that I think he's funny so he starts repeating nipple, nipple, what mommy, do you have a nipple? I got food out and shoved it into his mouth! At that point I would have fed him anything he wanted to get him to stop. I didn't even look around to see the stares but I'm sure they were there! Yikes!

That reminds me of shopping for a baby gift with my (then) 3-year old daughter, who asked very loudly in the crowded store "how'd that baby get outta there anyway?!?!"

That is such a cute picture. Oh, and yes, been there, done that with the embarassing kid talk. Especially since they don't have a conept of volume when saying certain things. lol

By the way, you've been tagged by me. Check out my blog to see what for. :)
